Dubai, 7 March 2019 – Agthia Group PJSC, one of the region’s leading food and beverages companies and producer of market leading animal feed Agrivita, announced the launch of ‘Riaya Farm Program’, as part of the Group’s commitment to sustainable food security.
His Excellency Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment inaugurated the innovative program on the sidelines of the Group’s participation in AgraME 2019.
‘Riaya Farm Program’ is meant to provide specialized advice to farm owners to ensure optimal nutrition of their livestock, enabling them to achieve higher productivity and yields. The unique program will be supervised directly by animal care specialists and other animal nutrition experts who will closely follow the development and health of the livestock to ensure optimum nutrition and growth.
Tariq Ahmed Al Wahedi, Agthia Group CEO, said, “Food security has always been one of Agthia’s sustainability priorities and we have, from the onset, committed to support our nation’s effort to achieve self-sufficiency across multiple commodities including animal feed. It is with this wider perspective that we always ensure our Agrivita branded animal feed meets the needs of our nation’s livestock farmers. The launch of the ‘Riaya Farm Program’ is designed specifically to assist all those farms seeking to develop their livestock and increase their productivity to achieve greater returns on investment.
Al Wahedi added, “Not only will Riaya Farm Program help local farmers, but in fact, it will provide superior produce for the people of the UAE by ensuring livestock are healthy through nutrition-based and top-quality feeds.”
Agthia develops, produces and markets a wide range of feeds under Agrivita brand aimed at addressing different needs of the nation’s livestock. With over 50 types of 100% natural feed, Agrivita offers a complete range of performance and value-oriented animal feed solutions that are free from animal origin ingredients, growth promoting antibiotics, added hormones and artificial coloring.
As a sign of their ongoing commitment to be a leader in innovative product development in the region, Agthia last year partnered with Trouw Nutrition Hifeed, a Nutreco Company and a global leader in animal nutrition and aquafeed. The partnership-aims to develop a portfolio of products and services for optimized nutrition, enhanced animal performance and improved economic efficiency in poultry and ruminants.
